Scott Alan Hughes, age 67, of Plain City, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, after an extended illness. Scott was born April 8, 1957, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Terrance E.

and Shirley A. (Watson) Hughes.

He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, class of 1975 and was employed with Honda of America for 24 years before taking early retirement in July 2014.

Scott never met a stranger and was always willing to help a neighbor.

His meticulous yard was always envy of the neighborhood. He had a love for all types of fishing (especially Muskie).

He was also an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. His sports enthusiasm started at a very young age. He was active in a variety of sports from youth through high school and later coached his son’s little league baseball team.

The one who always had his clothes packed a month in advance when planning a family vacation and amazed us with his semi-professional Jeopardy knowledge.
