He is best known as the creator of the world's first programmable (and Turing-complete) computer, the Z4.
Early Life
Konrad was born in Berlin, Germany, and later his family moved to Braunsberg, East Prussia.
In 1923, the Zuse family relocated to Hoyerswerda, where Konrad completed his preparatory education in 1928 and gained admission to university. He initially studied engineering and architecture but soon lost interest in these fields.
In 1935, Zuse obtained a diploma in housing and civil construction.
